RLI Graduates from both Sedona Rotary Clubs recognized

 
Five Rotarians from both Sedona Rotary Clubs were recognized for graduating from the Rotary Leadership Institute: (L-R) Dave Thomas (Red Rocks club), Rotary Club of Sedona President Tim Ernster, President Elect for Rotary Club of Sedona Red Rocks Denise Dedrick, Harry Grossman, Rotary Club of Sedona, and front, Assistant District Governor Renata Barnwell, Rotary Club of Sedona.

Rotary Honor Student Recognized

 
Rotary Honor Student Annie Parrella, a senior at Red Rock High School, was recognized during the Oct. 20 meeting and presented with a $1,000 scholarship to attend the college/university of her choice. Annie was born and raised in Sedona and says she has always been involved in sports. She is currently the varsity volleyball and basketball captain. She also loves to read and enjoys her AP English class. Annie has been Student Council Class President all four years and a member of Key Club, Interact Club, and Future Business Leaders of America. She also traveled to Nicaragua on a medical mission during her spring break. She adds, attending RYLA last year "was by far one of the most unique, life changing experiences I have had." Annie plans to attend the University of Arizona or Arizona State University next fall.

New Generations Youth Exchange

 
Mike Casey, District 5510 Youth Exchange Coordinator, and 10-year member of the Flagstaff Rotary Club, spoke about the district's Youth Exchange Services. He said a seven-person team from Sao Paulo, Brazil will arrive Jan. 2016.
