Yoga for First Responders eases impact of trauma

Yoga Instructor Jeff Masters (right) shared with the club how yoga can impact the effects of trauma on first responders and their families. Jeff currently instructs six yoga classes at the two Sedona Fire Stations. Jeff said of the 10 million first responders in the U.S., 20 to 22% suffer from Post Traumatic Stress: 18% of police officers and 37% of firefighters. The practice of yoga helps individuals move through trauma and release it, he said. Club President Tim Ernster announced a book in Jeff's name will be donated to the Sedona Public Library.

Way to go Ashton!
