Shelterbox to honor "Silent Rotarians"

During its April 28 meeting, the club discussed dedicating its next Shelterbox to Rod Abbott and Ron Larson, "Silent Rotarians." Both were dedicated club members who recently passed away within a week of each other. Dick Youngberg, the club's International Services director, proposes the club donates $1,000 to purchase a Shelterbox in memory of both Rod and Ron and ask that it be deployed to Kathmandu in Nepal to provide aid urgently needed. Ron's Memorial Service was held last Friday, May 1, at Christ Lutheran Church. Rod's Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 9, at Church of the Red Rocks. This year's Chili Cook-Off is also being held to honor the memories of Rod and Ron. Please click here to read more about Ron and Rod: http://www.sedonarotary.org/
