Rotary Honor Student Cristian J. Vergara was recognized during the club's Feb. 10 meeting. Cristian has participated in many volunteer activities through Key Club including: Relay for Life, March of Dimes, a Sedona soup kitchen, the Sedona Marathon, Adopt a Highway and the Sedona Art Festival. He said he attended RYLA and feels its biggest impact was giving him more confidence, particularly for public speaking. Cristian plans to major in engineering and contribute to the field of sustainable energy.

Club President David Simmer introduces Verde Valley Medical Center President/CEO Barbara Dember. Barbara gave an update on the state of VVMC and how it plans to implement a value-based healthcare system focusing on health outcomes. She also announced the groundbreaking of VVMC's health center in Camp Verde.
