Doublemint Twin shares USO stories

Terrie Frankel, former Doublemint Twin who toured Viet Nam in USO Shows in the 1960s, was inducted Oct. 2014 as an Honorary Commander of the 944th Aeromedical Staging Squadron at Luke Air Force Base. Terrie has written screenplays and tributes to her twin Jennie and to Viet Nam veterans. She continues to support veterans and veteran causes. Exchange student from Switzerland visits club

Rotary Exchange Student Lisa Zummermann (right) visits the club with members of her host family, Elizabeth Wenner and her son Anders. Lisa, who is from Switzerland, will be attending Red Rock High School for the school year.

Russian Exchange Student visits club

Russian Exchange Student Natasha Smirnova visits the club during its July 28 meeting, along with her host family, club member Abbie Denton Lander and her husband John. Natasha will attend Red Rock High School for the year.

Batter Up ---Purchase your game tickets now

Purchase your tickets now for Rotary Day at Arizona Diamondbacks on Sept. 13, 1:10 p.m. at Chase Field. If our club sells 30 tickets it will get 4 premium box seats at a 2015 game of choice. These tickets could be auctioned to raise club funds. Tickets are: $45; $25; and $16. For more information contact John Crawford. The Diamondbacks will salute Rotary prior to the game. A portion of each ticket sold will go to Polio Plus.
