Silent auction items needed for Chili Cook-Off

During the program portion of the March 10 meeting, club member Sue Shannon reminded everyone to please help obtain silent auction donations for the Chili Cook-Off to be held on Saturday, May 2. She said the best way to solicit donations is to go to businesses that you frequent. It is critical that a donation form be received for each item. The forms are available on the Chili Cook-Off website: www.sedonachilicookoff.org. Sue said to please bring donations and forms to the meetings by March 24. March 31 is the very last day to bring items to ensure the businesses are mentioned in the Kudos ad. Sue thanks everyone for their great ideas for items!

USA/Mexico Friendship Conference hosted by Verde Valley Rotary Clubs

Please mark your calendars: The Initial planning stages are beginning for the USA/Mexico Friendship Conference to be held Nov. 19-23. This important event is held each year by the host country. Last Oct. 2014, the event was held in Cuernavaca, Mex. The 2013 Conference was held in Prescott, Ariz. This year it will be held in the Verde Valley. The three Verde Valley Rotary Clubs: Rotary Club of Sedona, Rotary Club of Sedona Red Rocks, and Rotary Club of the Verde Valley will host Rotarians from District 4185 - www.rotary4185.org  which includes Puebla, Veracruz, Morelos, Guerrero and Tlaxcala. The conference is a grants exchange program that includes a grants exchange forum, activities, home hosting and fellowship. This year we are having the Foundation Day layered into the Conference. The club's PR Director, Renata Barnwell says the conference is a special opportunity to make their experience here in the Verde Valley/Sedona a great one.
