Club member Michelle Behr reported 14 Rotarians, including 7 from the Red Rock Club, participated in the Highway 89A cleanup on Jan. 24. After the cleanup they gathered at Nick's Westside for breakfast. Great job everyone!
Dave Young announced results of the membership survey administered during the Jan. 20 meeting. Quality of the club's membership received a 100%, while membership retention scored 92%. Other survey highlights included: Food served at meetings 100%; quality of youth programs 100%; quality of local service projects 88%; Club's website 96% and club communications and the newsletter both scored 92%.
President David Simmer reported the Imagination Library Program has 321 children actively receiving a new book each month. He added that 115 children have graduated from the program. The Great Sedona Chili Cook-Off scheduled for May 2, continues to be the driving force in fundraising for the program.

Library Project in Veracruz - Club's new International Project
Rotarian Dick Youngberg, International Committee chairperson, reported on the club's new international project during the program portion of the club's meeting on Jan. 27. The library project aims to provide full libraries for 20 schools for an estimated cost of $36.500. Youngberg says this is an approved matching grant project. The club's contribution of $2,000 will be matched by our district and again by Rotary International to yield a total of $7,000 for the project.
