Sedona Rotarians & high school students support Walk-A-Thon for Hope House

Sedona Rotarians and Red Rock High School students participated in the May 7 Walk-A-Thon for Hope House sponsored by Sedona Red Rock Interact (Rotary International) and Key Club (Kiwanis International). Students of both clubs organized the event to raise funds for the newly opened Hope House, which is ready to house homeless families with children, providing them with transitional housing, support services and food. A ribbon cutting for the new home was held on April 12 with city leaders and members of the local community and faith groups. Hope House is currently looking for a house manager. The following volunteers are also needed including: caseworkers to work directly with the families on their case plans and follow-up, a background in psychology, counseling, and/or social work is required; a person to lead the volunteer team, working to recruit and place volunteers; a person(s) to work with residents on financial planning (financial background necessary); and people to provide relief on Saturdays for the house manager.
