Verde Valley Caregivers leaving no senior isolated

Verde Valley Caregivers Executive Director Kent Ellsworth said VVCC begins celebrating 25 years of service to older adults who wish to stay living independently in their own homes for as long as possible. With 2,300 seniors enrolled to receive services, the average age is 90 years. Kent said 50 percent live at or below poverty level and 90 percent qualify for low-income services. The organization's vision is to ensure no senior is left isolated. VVCC is able to do its work thanks to dedicated donors, partners, and volunteers. Kent thanked the club for its yard cleanup project for VVCC neighbor Pam and for partnering with Habitat for Humanity to build her outdoor ramp. Kent thanked club members who are also VVCC volunteers: Eddie Passov, LeRoy Townsend, Dave Young, Ken Dzugan, and VVCC Board Member Sandra Gardner. Club President Jennette Bill announced the book titled "Fancy Nancy Saturday Night Sleepover" will be donated to the Sedona Public Library on behalf of Kent.
