Kierya Shelley shares her student exchange experiences

Rotary Exchange Student Kierya Shelley shared her many experiences while studying in Germany. Kierya went from rural Sedona to Berlin, a city of 3-4 million people. She enjoyed the open markets on Saturdays and Sundays and Berlin's parks, 80 in total. Kierya spent time with other exchange students, even cooking a Thanksgiving dinner for them. The students also went on an Euro Tour together, visiting Paris, Dresden, Rome and more. Kierya said the experience was the best she could have had. "I now feel more confident in who I am and who I want to become. I am so thankful for this Rotary program." Kierya also addressed exchange student Jasmin who is getting ready for her trip to Switzerland. "Be really open minded and go for it," Kierya said. "Do everything and you will have a rich experience." Club President Dave Young announced the book "Have You Filled Your Bucket Today?" will be donated to the Sedona Public Library on behalf of Kierya's Aug. 1 presentation to the Rotary Club of Sedona.
