Village Club's Tee Up Fore Big Park events big success

Rotarian Jan Groves led a debriefing of the series of Tee Up Fore Big Park Events during the club’s Oct. 12 meeting. She announced the events netted about $42,000 for Big Park School and the Imagination Library. Congratulations all around for a very successful first Village Satellite fundraiser! Meeting attendees were asked to write comments on large sheets of paper labeled “Good,” “Bad” and “Ugly.” Then club members broke into groups to make lists of the comments and what can be done to improve the events next time. The school and PTSA will also have a chance to add their input. In photo (L-R): Harv Grady, Rob Schaefer, Stacy Beck and Jennette Bill.

Four Rotary Foundation donor advised funds have been set up to accept donations for hurricane and earthquake victims. Puerto Rico Account name: Puerto Rico Recovery - Account number: 614. Mexico earthquakes Account name: Mexico Earthquake Recovery Fund - Account number: 613. Hurricane Harvey Account name: Gulf Coast Disaster Relief Fund - Account number: 608. Hurricanes Irma and Maria Account name: Hurricane Emergency Relief Fund - Account number: 296. You can contribute by check or wire transfer or online with a credit card. Judges needed for RRHS Senior Exhibition Projects

Seniors at Sedona Red Rock High School are required to complete a senior exhibition project. One of the components is to present the project to a panel of judges. This is where you can help!  As a judge, you will be given a holistic scoring rubric to judge the project and give feedback. Dates/times:  November 14 and 15; 5 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. each night. Total time: approximately 1 hour per presentation (includes orientation (or will be emailed to you), presentation, questions/answers, debriefing). Only Six Bashas' Cards available--another way to support your club

Dick Youngberg reports he has six Bashas' Community cards left. The cards function as debit cards. You load them with money and use them to make all your Bashas' purchases. When you use your card the club gets six percent of the value of your transactions. Cards are pre-loaded with $20, so that is your price to purchase. The club receives about $1,000 each year from this program. Please let family members and others know this is another way they can support our efforts. Come on new members, get your Bashas' card and support your club. It really is free money! Contact Dick at ryoungberg5@gmail.com or 928-282-3800.
