Speaker Bob McDonald tackles ISIS

Bob McDonald discussed the complexities in the fight against ISIS during the club's Feb. 23 meeting. Happy about the hopeful cease fire in Syria, currently being brokered by U.S. and Russia, Bob explains the tactics ISIS is using to spread fear in the Middle East and around the world, which includes targeting civilians to insight fear and enticing the economically vulnerable to become recruits. Youngberg asks club to gear up for ShelterBox Challenge

March 15 is the date for the 2016 ShelterBox USA Challenge. Dick Youngberg asks we bring our checkbooks and donate to help raise $500 at the meeting, which will be matched by $500 from the International Committee so that Rotary Club of Sedona can buy a ShelterBox for disaster relief somewhere in the world. Your donation is 100% tax deductible . "More important is the impact we can make on relieving the total misery brought about by floods, war and other disasters," Youngberg said. This will be the club's third year for providing a ShelterBox. He encourages us to check out the ShelterBox website: http://www.ShelterBoxUSA.org
