Tee Up Fore Big Park Fundraiser drives high

The Tee Up Fore Big Park Fundraiser drives past its $40,000 goal, landing at $43,078. Members of the Village Satellite Club celebrate how the funds will impact the school. Club members David Gill, Jan Groves and Heather Hermen display signs with the income. Dave holds the amount raised ($9,500) for Chromebooks, funds which will go immediately to the school to buy the equipment. Jan holds total net income from all of the events ($43,078). And Heather holds the remaining net of $33,551 which will be held in the Charitable Fund and given to the school for projects upon their request. About 10% of these funds will go to Imagination Library and other to Rotary activities. Not too shabby for the first fundraiser in the club’s first year! Good going everyone!

Only Six Bashas' Cards available--another way to support your club

Dick Youngberg reports he has six Bashas' Community cards left. The cards function as debit cards. You load them with money and use them to make all your Bashas' purchases. When you use your card the club gets six percent of the value of your transactions. Cards are pre-loaded with $20, so that is your price to purchase. The club receives about $1,000 each year from this program. Please let family members and others know this is another way they can support our efforts. Come on new members, get your Bashas' card and support your club. It really is free money! Contact Dick at ryoungberg5@gmail.com or 928-282-3800.
