Police operations versus immigration issues

Village of Oak Creek Satellite Club member Jack Harris, discussed issues with police operations and immigration. Jack, who is a retired police chief for the City of Phoenix, spent 39 years  as a police officer, SWAT team leader, vice agent, went undercover, and served his last seven years as the police chief. He said immigration support should not be part of police operations. "There are not enough officers, funding to do the job, nor places to hold immigrants." He said immigration issues are hot topics because of politics, not because of the facts. "Hispanic immigration has been dropping since 2007," he said. And adds the U.S. and Mexico will both have labor shortages due to slowing  populations. Club President Jennette Bill thanked Jack for his informative presentation and announced the book  "Hey, Coach!" will be donated to the Sedona Public Library on Jack's behalf.
