On Feb. 9, the Rotary Clubs of Sedona and Red Rocks held a joint lunch meeting at REDS Restaurant in Sedona Rouge. The purpose of the joint meeting was to see and hear feedback from this year's Rotary Youth Leadership Awards delegates. This year both Sedona clubs each funded five local high school student trips to RYLA, held outside of Prescott. Club Rotarian Holli Ploog (pictured far right) is also Interact Coordinator with the local high schools. She and other members of the two clubs interviewed many students before narrowing the field down to the 10 delegates being funded by the two clubs. Each year club members recognize a common theme in the feedback from these delegates which is one of personal growth, new friendships and excitement for the future. Most returning delegates express the ambition to join their school's Interact Club, go on a foreign exchange and continue Rotary's good work in the world.
