Sedona and Verde Valley Rotary Clubs collect 1,000 pounds of trash

Rotary Club of Sedona partnered with Rotary Clubs of Sedona Village, Red Rocks and Verde Valley to collect 1,000 pounds of trash During Rotary Week of Service held April 17-24. Participants were encouraged to hit the trails with friends, go for a walk, or visit a public space, taking trash bags with them. Club members collected about 200 pounds of trash on trails, parks, highways, roads, parking lots and neighborhoods. The project tied in with Rotary International's new area of focus: Environmental Sustainability. In photo above (L-R), club Rotarians Catherine Moore, visitor Meg Whiteford, Jean Barton, and Ed Southwell collected trash on Route 152 on the way to Devil's Bridge. Big thanks to all club Rotarians who participated in the clean up. Way to go! Click on Photo Album below for more clean up photos.
