St. Patrick's Day Parade

Rotary Clubs represented in Sedona's St. Patrick's Day Parade

 
Members of all four Verde Valley Rotary Clubs collaborated on a joint float for Uptown Sedona's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade held March 9. The float highlighted the Verde Valley Imagination Library Program, established by the Rotary Club of Sedona and now supported by all four clubs. The program provides FREE books monthly to over 2,000 children infant-aged to kindergarten.

Jennette Bill receives Paul Harris Fellow plus 6 recognition

Foundation Director Dick Youngberg presents Youth Services Director Jennette Bill with a Paul Harris Fellow plus 6 ruby pin. PHF recognition is given for each $1,000 donated to the Rotary Foundation. Your donations may be made to the Annual Fund, Polio Plus, or a qualified Global Grant (relating to a humanitarian project recognized and authorized by the Foundation). For more details on supporting The Rotary Foundation's important work see the attached link  http://www.rotary.org/en/donate/recognition  Way to go Jennette!
 
 

Jennifer Perry updates club on Verde Valley Sanctuary Garden

Jennifer Perry, executive director of Verde Valley Sanctuary (left), presented a slide show on the Sanctuary's renovated back yard now a beautiful healing garden and playground. All four Verde Valley Rotary Clubs helped to fund the garden, with $2,000 raised by our club along with a matching grant from Rotary District 5495. Jennifer said the garden has added needed outdoor living space. "It's now a beautiful place to go out outside, exhale, and start their new life." Club President Holli Ploog announced the book "Good Night, Gorilla" will be donated to West Sedona School on Jennifer's behalf.
